Meet our CEO, Mel.
Mel Rose has developed a unique offering to the world. Fusing her expertise as a fashion and textiles designer, small business owner, real estate professional and banker with a deep permaculture systems design and a passion for permaculture oriented solutions across all sectors.
Mel’s offering is permaculture focused banking and operational support for SME, Enterprises and Foundations with a purpose of leaving the world hopefully a lot better than we found it.
Before banking, Mel had a 15-year career in the fashion industry as an agency represented global professional model, fashion designer, with her own clothing line started in 2011.
While in fashion, Mel traveled and lived all over the world, in six countries total. The most shocking part of the fashion industry as a model, stylist and designer exposed appalling environmental destruction and disregard as well as massive intellectual property control issues. After 6 years of running her clothing company, Mel experienced personal health issues caused by interacting with toxic materials and products.
A deep reckoning and awakening to healthy living, care for the planet and sustainable business operations inspired her to make a profound pivot, choosing to work every day to heal, rather than harm, our world.
Her permaculture systems design education and focus complements her financial expertise, allowing her to create holistic solutions that are both ecologically regenerative and economically viable.
Mel is using innovation and creativity to help fuel growth of some of the most toxic problems we face as a species and as a planet. Cleaning up Food, Energy, Water, Building Materials, Textiles and Circular Economy which all connect to Healthcare, Biomimicry, Biotech, Conscious Technology and lastly conscious and circular consumer goods.
Through Permaculture Capital, Mel leverages her experience as a registered representative of Umergence Broker Dealer, to support emerging sustainable technologies that permanently disrupt harmful conventional systems and create a better pathway forward for all.
Through her company Decision Society Inc. and Decision Access 501c-3, she helps women work around the clear gender bias within early stage business funding.
Mel is currently building out two projects. One a large interactive, educational art installation and a Permaculture & Integration center in the Grand Tetons to help assist others with connecting to art and nature as personal and professional integration tools. Mel is based in the Grand Tetons in Wyoming with regular travels to Italy, London, SF, LA, Boston, New York, Naples, Miami & Palm Beach in the US.

Permaculture Systems Design
Mel's first permaculture project design looked at transforming 5 acres in Zone 10-A, into a project called The Paradisiac Sea-Eco Retreat.
This project is a water-based integration permaculture center and haven and the plans are available for purchase.
This comprehensive design features natural pools, atmospheric water devices, saltwater conversion tools, aquaponics with stand-up paddle lap pools, hydro and solar power, water retention systems, and regenerative toilet facilities.
Her approach places water at the center of all design considerations, recognizing that addressing our impending water crisis and personal relationship to the water we consume and live around is essential to improving the human condition and building a cleaner planet.
Each permaculture design creates systems that are regenerative, productive, and purifying—working with nature rather than against it. Mel's designs transform properties into thriving ecosystems that yield abundance while respecting water's sacred role in our world.
Systems available to integrate into your project include atmospheric water machines, grow domes for creating your own garden and food systems year round (regardless of your climate zone), passive solar building design, solar and hydro energy, green and non-toxic building materials (hempcrete, hemp insulation, clean paint, etc.), living walls and roofs, animal rotation planning, bee-keeping, switching from toxic packaging or materials to clean and cheaper biodegradable packaging and many more.
