FAQ at bottom of this page.
F.A.Q.
What is going to be covered?
You get to JAC or IDA (Jackson Hole Airport or Idaho Falls Airport). And we do all the rest. Hotel, Food, and local transport, guides, talks, and fire-placing and gourmet locally raised and grown organic meals.
What is the airport recommendation/travel planning?
Jackson Hole and Idaho Falls are our closest airports. They are the same distance from Alta, WY. While it is a bit of a mission to get here, you will not regret it. This is a once in a lifetime place and we hope you will aim to make it a place you return to after your trip with us here. There is no place quite like it!
Most flights will connect through DFW, ORD, DEN or SLC. We recommend spending a few extra days out here. Come in early and book with the Teton Teepee Hotel (They will close after our summit until Winter kicks in) or stay longer and do a few days in Jackson. You will love it here and proper preparation and integration in the area is highly recommended.
We will shuttle from Jackson for flights landing around 12pm, 3pm and 9pm on the 10th.
We will shuttle from Idaho Falls for flights landing around 10am and 3pm.
Who else will be there?
We are bringing together close allies from our investor community, that we have been working hard to build relationships with over the last 3 years as well as several new potential LPs on our Fund I. Ideally investors joining are capable and willing to deploy capital to compelling investments within the next 3 to 6 months. We have invited accredited investors, family offices and institutions. Please note that we are a placement agency, so if you are a VC or founder, as well as an investor and joining, that if you raise capital from our summit, we would appreciate our fees covered. We will need those agreements in place before you join. We have only identified two attendees in this category but if you are fundraising as well it should be disclosed to us before joining. We work on tiered rates and happy to share more. Please contact abhi@permaculture.capital for more information.
Is it dangerous in the Tetons?
Not if you are prepared. This is a truly magical place. But a few health notes should be heeded before booking.
You should be able to live, walk and breathe comfortably at 6000 feet above sea level. You should also be in good enough shape to do one hour walks with slight altitude increases. We are keeping the hikes very light and most activities will be focused around learning and dialog around Permaculture as an asset class and the innovation we are empowering and supporting at our firm.
There are wild animals here but they are way less dangerous than humans.
If you want to go more aggressive on hikes and nature oriented activities, please do so before or after the summit.
We are very close to Yellowstone which closes by early November.
What will the weather be like?
It will be chilly but very beautiful. Bring layers.! And a good overcoat. There is no bad weather, only bad clothes. We recommend a base layer just in case weather drops made out of wool - we prefer smart wool - and good walking or hiking shoes. While we won’t do hikes that are very hard or too long, you should be comfortable. Layers, layers, layers!
What is the Attire?
This is about the most casual retreat you can go to! We will be hiking (mellow but fun nature walks) every day, so from hiking to meals you can stay in your gear or get comfy. Lot’s of talks around the fireplace inside the Teepee. Ideally no pajamas though, we will have professional photographers and videographers recording content at meals and some of the presentations. For Saturday dinner, please dress business causal or just something that doesn’t have dirt from the trails on it!
We are so excited to host you here! Please fill out the form above to register your interest and details we need to confirm your attendance.
